Food photography sounds similar to wine photography, doesn't it? Actually, it is very different. Wine photography is often reportage-like, whereas food photo is very, very much a studio thing. Here's an interesting article on how to do food pictures. I certainly will read it more in detail later.

Apparently. USD 1.284 million , sold at Christie's in New York on November 8, 2005. Unfortunately it was not mine. The photo was of a man (OK, cowboy) on a horse riding in the desert. From a well known publicity campaign for a cigarette brand. Since I can't show the photograph here I'll give you another horse picture, from Bordeaux: Chateau Cheval-Blanc in Saint Emilion.

I've run this blog for less than two weeks now. Somehow (maybe it's Father Christmas?) it's already showing on msn.com's first page if you look for "wine pictures". On Google, on the other hand, it is nowhere to be seen, even though Blogger.com (=blogspot) is a Google service. Mysterious. Both things.

Well, Google thinks I am.
This morning I was greeted by a message that "your blog is locked". Ha ha, you cannot post to it any longer. Apparently they think you are a spam blog if you have nonsensical text (is my English that poor?) and frequently link to the same (other) site. Well, I do frequently link to our main picture site wiht the photos, since it makes it so much easier to include the photos just by dragging and dropping (and the link then comes automatically since it is attahced to the picture).
I guess I shouldn't be to annoyed since the "real" spam blogs are really irritating. How often don't you get useless google results because of spam blogs?
I've requested Google/Blogger to unlock my blog. So, if it goes quickly I guess I should be happy. If it takes ages I can't help getting rather impatient.
