Vineyard with vines traned in "en echalat" with supporting wooden stakes, winter pruned with no branches or leaves. Big stone rocks. Very steep hill slope. Terraced vineyards in the Cote Rotie district around Ampuis in northern Rhone planted with the Syrah grape.
