Domaine du Grand Tinel is a family owned winery in the Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The winery itself is just on the edge of the small town of Chateauneuf, a short walk from the famous ruined tower. Today it is run by Christophe Jeune and his two sisters Béatrice and Isabelle.

The vineyards of Domaine du Grand Tinel extend over 74 hectares. They have 56 ha of vines in Chateauneuf du Pape, planted with grenache (noir), syrah, cinsault, mourvèdre, counoise, for the red wines, and grenache blanc, clairette and bourboulenc for the white wines. They also have 18 ha of vineyards in the Côtes du Rhône appellation.

The winery is equipped both with modern stainless steel fermentation tanks and with traditional large oak vats for aging. The vinification is made with 100% destemmed grapes. Some of the wines are aged partially in new oak barrels, and partially in old wood. The make several different wines: the “normal” Chateauneuf du Pape in a red wine and a white wine variety. The Chateauneuf Cuvée Prestige Alexis Establet, only in red. And the Côte du Rhône, also exclusively red.
